OK

The sun still shines with warmth
Another day still begins and ends

Hope can still be seen
In all the miracles of love

Helping hands reach out
And hold you in their arms

You can see and feel
The love pouring out

From others all around
Willing to give most importantly

Their time
Their support

Their kindness
Their strength

When a world comes together
As one

You know you will be

Escape Artist

Pushing her way out
Weaving left, weaving right

Running free without doubt
She's off again taking flight

Trying my patience
Minute by minute

Running me in circles
Until I get it

I've learned I must be
Proactive towards her

This crazy dog Fee-Fee
A whirling ball of fur!

Lost In Time

time

Swirling, spinning, twirling
Round and round I go

Wondering what is my purpose
Feeling like I should know

Shouldn't I be achieving more
Than I actually do

Worrying what the next
Day will bring

And where I belong
In the midst of this thing

Rescued

You are faithful loving and kind
Bringing joy and love to me

Your loyalty eases my mind
You're not ashamed for others to see

Stroking your fur calms my soul
Releasing tears of joy

I just want you to know
You are my sweet boy

Bugs

It's that time of year
When you can catch

All the bugs going around
They'll crawl in your body

And bring you down, down, down
Take you for a spin

Suck on cough drops
Blow the nose

Sneeze all the way down
To your toes

Feel an awful ache in your bones
Boy will I be glad

When this cold is gone!

Orange Glow

tree, glow, poetry
Looking out my window
Everything begins to take on an orange tint

A beautiful sunset in progress
Chilled, windy, and glowing

Trees lit up by the "fire" in the sky
Bring thoughts of other life

Lingering above me somewhere
Millions of tiny angels stomping down

Releasing the color orange on the world
Sprinkling beauty for each of us to enjoy

Giving the opportunity to grasp
This beautiful moment of nature.

Melancholy

The late evening sun shimmers on the blades of green grass
Giving the deceitful appearance of warmth outside

A cold gusty wind blows the sparsely leaved trees to and fro
It leaves a sense of melancholy with me

The passing of another season, the leaving of fall
The almost naked trees and plants

Brings a crisp chill to the air
A chill that says "Winter is coming soon"

And Spring will not be far behind
Time to begin anew.
